Honor

Dear John I know by now surely you are gone.I don't know if I'll ever forget you,I just know I haven't,and my life still goes on.You were homeless not hopeless,not helpless not useless.You taught me acceptance, humor,compassion,appreciation.We were friends for such a short while but you taught me long after I knew you,in a slight way I feel that you still do.I refer to you now and again when I need an example of a one true friend.Rest in peace ,your teachings live on, I'll try to preach them and pass them along.It was good to think of you again, as I sometimes do,I'll chat with you again through this paper and pen.You always seem to listen if I ever need you when.
